Greetings CSA Members,
Last week at the farm we were been busy bringing in a bumper crop of garlic, to be stored and dried for later in the season. We also had a delivery of trial kale seed from Cornell, which is being trialed for all sorts of traits, like heat/cold tolerance, disease resistance, yield & taste. Some of our heirloom tomato plants are starting to bear fruit, too, although it may still be a few weeks before we’re hitting full production.
In this week’s shares (the week of July 10th), expect some of the following veggies, depending on what’s available:
- Squash
- Cucumber
- Mix Greens
- Fennel
- Fava Beans
- Lettuce
- Kohlrabi
- Carrots
- Garlic Scape
- Onion
